The inaugural Hounslow’s Promise Gala Dinner was held on the 17th July 2019. The Gala Dinner brought together senior leaders from across Hounslow and beyond to recognize our supporters, celebrate Hounslow, showcase talents of our amazing young people and engage the community in Hounslow’s Promise’s plans going forward.
Seema Malhotra MP, Chair of Hounslow’s Promise, also formally announced Hounslow’s Promise has become a registered charity. Alongside the dinner, there was a live and silent auction, a raffle, a dance from Lopa Vadgama of Lopa Dance and her student Oskar as well as songs from several school children. Also speaking at the dinner were, among others, Lord David Blunkett, Kainaat Siddiqi MYP and Councillor Tom Bruce [Hounslow Council Cabinet Member for Education, Children and Youth Services].
The dinner raised over £30,000 for Hounslow’s Promise in the next year which will make a huge difference to being able to take forward our programmes of work and mentoring for the coming year.
